Exhibition “Prototypes” is the outcome of a distinguishing synergy between the artist and the gallery in which space is a creative and experimental field where this relationship is developing towards a common emotional vision of a piece between art and design. A vision that is to become a real epiphanic experience throughout the prototype/unique piece "...as a possibility to design and design immagination (Germano Celant)" . The evolution of this research proposes a serie of projects exploring the suppleness of a noble material such as silver within a study of the surface finishings insipired by objects of domestic purposes and common use tools accompanying us trough times and adapting themselfes on the cultural and traditional usage and costume. The prototypes/one-off pieces on show at this event are the expression of a new sense of pure craftsmanship, which with its uniqueness and elegance raises every work to a special and distinct status, far removed from the idea of industrial mass-production. The prototype, in this way, assumes a much greater value, since every prototype, understood as a one-off creation, represents the meeting-place of the idea and its material existence and the tipping point between the initial research and a possible object in the making.
